Kentucky State Police and federal authorities are investigating after a missing Chicago man was found dead in Hardin County.

On April 26, 2021, Kentucky State Police was contacted about a missing Chicago man, 30-year-old Quincy K. Ukaigwe. He was last seen and heard from while in the Hardin County area, state police said, and was reported missing on April 18, 2021.

On May 1, 2021, troopers located Ukaigwe’s body in a wooded area just off Hwy 31-W near the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff. He died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

It is believed that Ukaigwe traveled to Radcliff to visit a childhood friend and last spoke with family members on April 18, 2021, police said. He not only traveled to Hardin County, but he was also in Meade County as well as the Louisville metro area.

“KSP and federal authorities are currently following up on strong leads in the investigation,” KSP Post 4 spokesman Scotty Sharp said.

Ukaigwe owned an American Bulldog named Abloh that is believed to have been with him at the time of his death.

Anyone with information on this case, or the location of the Ukaigwe’s dog, is asked to contact KSP Detective Tony Hardin at 270-766-5078.
