The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police are looking for a Falls of Rough man who led police on a chase from the Western Kentucky Parkway into McLean County.
Police are searching for 20-year-old Michael Blalock following the suspect walking away from an Evansville hospital after wrecking while fleeing multiple law enforcement agencies on the afternoon of Friday, April 10.
According to state police, Blalock blew by a marked Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officer at 94 miles per hour on the parkway near Central City, where he exited. Blalock continued fleeing into McLean County where he wrecked, overturning his vehicle.
Blalock was airlifted to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville where, because of a shortage of troopers who were working a fatality accident (and the fact that KSP thought he was hurt worse than he was), walked away from the hospital, according to state police.
He is thought to be in the Caneyville area.
Coin, who has multiple warrants for his arrest unrelated to the chase, has been convicted on 11 charges in Edmonson, Butler and Warren counties since 2005. His convictions are as follows: Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree arson, first-degree burglary, third-degree burglary (two convictions), manufacturing methamphetamine, theft by unlawful taking (two convictions), possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
The Kentucky Department for Corrections notes that Coin has absconded from parole and is on probation until 2025.
Coin is six feet tall and weighs about 195 pounds. He has red or auburn hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt, police said.
Police said Coin should be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on the location of either of these suspects is asked to contact local law enforcement or dial 911.
