
A vehicle has struck a garbage truck worker in Hardin County.
Kentucky State Police Post 4 spokesman Scotty Sharp told The News-Enterprise that Tuesday morning at 7:54, troopers responded after 31-year-old Alexandra Spata, of Elizabethtown, who was driving a Toyota passenger car on Shepherdsville Road, began to pass a garbage truck and the vehicle immediately behind the truck.
While passing the two vehicles, Spata struck one of the garbage workers, 33-year-old Michael Buehner. Police said Buehner was airlifted to a Louisville hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jail records indicate Spata has not been arrested as the incident remains under investigation by state police.
