Kentucky’s attorney general has announced his office will begin assisting the Radcliff Police Department in searching for a Hardin County teenager missing since late August.
Attorney General Daniel Cameron said in a Monday tweet, “Join us as we work with the Radcliff Police Department to help find Rosalyn Velazquez. Tips or information about Rosalyn can be submitted by calling Radcliff PD at 270-351-4470.”
The 15-year-old Velazquez was reported missing by her mother on August 24, 2020. Rosalyn was last seen at Azalea Park apartments, adjacent to North Hardin High School, between Hwy 31-W and Joe Prather Highway, at approximately 1:00 the morning of August 24. She was wearing a blue jacket with a “crest on the right front,” according to Radcliff police.
Rosalyn is described as a “Hispanic/white mix” with curly black hair and brown eyes. She stands about 5-feet tall and weighs 140 pounds. She suffers from anxiety and has previously threatened to harm herself.
“We’ve exhausted all means so far trying to locate her,” Radcliff PD Capt. Willie Woods previously said, “and we haven’t heard from her. Nobody as far as we know has.”
In December, her story was featured on the A&E program “Live Rescue.”
Rosalyn’s mother, Sabrina Boozel, told The News-Enterprise that her daughter’s cellphone was pinged on August 25, indicating she was near Buffalo, in LaRue County.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Rosalyn’s return to her family.
