Kentucky State Police is looking for a woman wanted for questioning in the murder of an elderly Trigg County woman.
State police said troopers arrested 42-year-old Jonathan R. McCoy, of Cadiz, for the murder of Thelma N. Barnett, 81, also of Cadiz. McCoy is accused of killing Barnett and then setting her Jackson Road residence on fire in an attempt to cover up the September 16 murder.
McCoy is lodged in the Christian County Detention Center where he’s been charged with first-degree murder and first-degree arson along with an array of other charges.
KSP said detectives want to question 29-year-old Keisha D. Stewart, of Cadiz, regarding the murder.
