Two Ohio County residents have been arrested on drug charges after a joint investigation by Ohio and McLean County authorities.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said the investigation “focused on the alleged sales of crystal methamphetamine.” Late last week, a search warrant was obtained by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office based upon information provided by the McLean County Sheriff’s Office “and intelligence gathered by this agency,” Beatty said.

The warrant was executed in the 2900 block of Beda Road, in Hartford, where police located methamphetamine, marijuana, anabolic steroids, drug paraphernalia, and cash.

Police arrested 50-year-old Narvel Wood, of Hartford, and 24-year-old Felicia Shultz, of Centertown. Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wood was additionally charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of a controlled substance (anabolic steroids).

Both suspects were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center. Neither is currently listed as an inmate at the facility.
