Kentucky State Police has made a much-anticipated announcement concerning permit testing.
“The KSP Driver Testing Branch announced Tuesday that it will resume permit testing in select counties where the required CDC/Healthy at Work guidelines can be adhered to,” state police said.
To ensure the safety of permit applicants and staff, KSP has implemented a registration process where everyone will be required to schedule a specific date for permit testing.
KSP began taking appointments by phone on Tuesday, June 2.
To schedule a permit test for a Grayson County resident, call 270-766-5002, according to state police. To schedule an appointment for another county, visit http://kentuckystatepolice.org/drivers-testing/.
State police ask that callers please be patient as phone lines are limited and officials anticipate high call volumes.
KSP said it anticipates an announcement at a later date regarding road testing, slated at this time to begin in July.
