Farmer’s Market Nutrition Vouchers available for seniors on Tuesday at the Grayson County Alliance Food Pantry

Senior’s Farmer’s Market Nutrition Vouchers will be available while supplies last beginning Tuesday morning at 10:00 until Noon at the Grayson County Alliance Food Pantry located at 2003 Brandenburg Road.

The vouchers are for $28 and may only be used at the Grayson County Farmer’s Market on Mill Street.

Qualifications include being 60-years-old or older, along with the following income guidelines:

  • Household size 1 – Income cannot be over $1,860 per month
  • Household size 2 – Income cannot be over $2,504 per month
  • Household size 3 – Income cannot be over $3,149 per month
  • Household size 4 – Income cannot be over $3,793 per month

To pick up vouchers one must bring verification of age, a piece of mail showing residency and proof of income. In order to receive a voucher for another individual, one must have a proxy form signed by an eligible senior adult.

From 1:30 this Tuesday afternoon until 6:00 Tuesday night, vouchers and commodities may be picked up at the Food Pantry and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. If vouchers remain after Tuesday’s distribution, they will be available during commodity distributions throughout June:

  • Friday, June 15 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon
  • Tuesday, June 19 — 9:00 a.m. to Noon
  • Friday, June 22 — 1:30 to 4:00
  • Tuesday, June 26 — 9:00 a.m. to Noon
  • Friday, June 29 — 9:00 a.m. to Noon
