Assistant police chief charged with official misconduct related to middle school teacher’s child porn case

On Monday, Kentucky State Police arrested a western Kentucky Assistant Police Chief after he allegedly failed to perform is official duties as a police officer in a child porn case.

Police arrested 51-year-old Providence Assistant Police Chief Larry “Alan” King, 51, on an official misconduct charge. Authorities determined that during an investigation regarding a Webster County Middle School teacher, King failed to relate to investigators, or act on the knowledge, that the teacher, who King was dating, had deviant sexual fantasies about young boys and was a regular user of illegal narcotics.

Kentucky State Police identified the teacher as 48-year-old Lucia Jenkins, of Madisonville.

She was arrested on October 2 and charged with four counts of child pornography, after her cell phone was examined and found to contain child porn images, and 11 counts of complicity to traffic in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

King was transported to the Webster County Detention Center but has since bonded out of custody.
